Wanna See Google Wave in action…..try PyGo Server

Yes……now you can use this PyGo Server and see some waves in action. For those who doesnt know whats wave all about , try http://wave.google.com, and for those who want to know what PyGo server can do, here’s a brief intro, first of the wave and then, what can be done wit PyGo server to watch the wave action….

Google Wave consists of three things primarily.

1. Wave Server

2. Wave Client

3. Wave application

So, wondering what you can do with this PyGo server now!!!!!

As you might have already guessed now that PyGo server comes in as a Wave Server., let me tell about wave client and wave application. When you look at below steps, i have asked in step 6 to create a test wave. This is what a wave client is. Later in step 8, I have asked to select soem thing from the drop down box. Now this obviously is the third thing, thats ‘Wave Application’

Steps to see wave action

1. Just go there http://pygowave.p2k-network.org/

2. Create an account

3. Click on the registration link that would have come to your email

4. Login to the server at http://pygowave.p2k-network.org/

5. Click on ‘Waves’ tab

6. Create a test wave

7. Add any existing user to your wave (Create another account in PyGo server by following steps 1 to 3 and login from a different browser and then add your very own, second account)

8. Select any of the Wave Applications from the drop down box in the ‘Play Ground’

9. Start playing around and you can see that all the users of the wave gets instant updates (expect little latency as of now as this is is still in alpha stage)

For best viewing experience,  log in with different user ids from different browsers on same system, minimize both the browser windows so that you can see the Play Ground of both windows at a time and then watch the action of the wave whenever you change the content in one Play Ground. I would suggest, to see the Mappy wave application in action.
